Family-Owned and Operated
Boomerang carnets UK's founding family has a international trade and transportation history dating back to the early 1900s. Curt E. H. Hamann, first generation entrepreneur, was an international freight forwarder, licensed customs broker and bond agent. He owned J.E. Bernard & Company (U.S. and U.K.) and founded Roanoke Agency. Roanoke Agency was the first ATA Carnet Service Provider in the U.S.
Mr. Hamann's son-in-law and successor, Bruce A. Wilson, established Corporation for International Business (now known as boomerang carnets®) with son and grandson, Curt E.H. Wilson, 35 years ago.
Boomerang carnets® issues approximately 9300 ATA Carnets annually in the U.S. with a total merchandise value of $2.35B. It is a privately-held U.S. company under the management of Curt E.H. Wilson and Michael L. Host.
Boomerang carnets® UK, in partnership with the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, began providing fully-automated ATA Carnets to U.K. exporters as of March 1, 2015. This expansion brings a cheaper and more efficient carnet solution to the U.K. market and which has been available to U.S. exporters for at least 10 years.
