At the present time the CPD is not accepted for the temporary importation of vehicles. The only exceptions made are for clubs which have a special arrangement with the Yemeni Customs Authorities. Motorists who carry CPDs issued by non-authorized clubs must pay a cash deposit at the border (up to 25% of the value of the vehicle) or deposit their passport.
